WHY DO ITALIANS USE THEIR HANDS?

Ciao, lovers of Italian culture!

In Italy, except Italian, there is another official language of the country – the language of gestures

Italians are well known for expressing themselves through body language and hand gestures and you’ll see it in reality right after you meet the first Italian on your way. It happens because they don’t find enough words to express all the feelings that are bubbling up inside them.

But there is another version that the Italians started to use hands as the alternative way of communication during the centuries when they lived under foreign occupation – by France, Austria, and Spain (XIV – XIX centuries). And how to understand each other in these conditions? Correct – using the hands, as it became quite universal.

🤌🏻Since then the hands became crucial in any Italian conversation and it makes communication way easier and more emotional, doesn’t it?

So, learn some gesture expressions from my small tutorial and when you are in Italy, practice them a bit. Even if the Italians are quite gentile, when you’ll use your hands, you’ll absolutely melt their heart.
